Life is Crazy...

The Hiatt's are still here and alive. We have just been extremely busy at the moment! Our Grand Opening for The Music Stop was last Saturday, and we have enjoyed finally being open. We currently have many students coming in for lessons, and our initial number of students we wanted to have by the time we opened has now almost doubled. We are so thankful for all our wonderful friends and family who helped us out in so many ways while we were getting on our feet. Between 4 am truck runs back and forth from our house to the store, to last minute fixes 10 minutes before we opened for the first time, life has definitely been crazy. Maybe someday life will settle down enough for me to blog again...

LATE Birthday post-Sorry Tycee!

For Tycee's birthday in July, we had a party in Monroe with Grandma and Grandpa. Then back home, we went to Chuck-e-Cheese's with Uncle Kammon and Aunt Jordan. Tycee had a great time, and right before we left, Chuck-e-Cheese came out and said hi to all the kids. Tycee was so excited to see him. Then we came home and had a quick cupcake flower cake. Mom accidentally drove away with the cupcakes ontop of the car so she had to frost new ones :) Not much of a birthday cake, but it's the best we could do at 9 pm at night, with limited frosting and cupcakes left.

Tycee's extravagant birthday cake :-)

At first Tycee was a litte nervous, but after a second, she was all smiles.

This is a terrible picture, but it was the only one so I had to put it on.

Such a cheeser :-)

Tycee's princess dress from Mom and Dad, along with accessories from G & G Dowell. She wears this dress EVERY day!

I love you Tycee! I can't believe you are three years old now. You are definitely Mommy's little clone-attitude, stubborness and all. But I wouldn't trade any of those things for anything different. I love playing monsters with you, watching Princess movies on the couch, letting you wear my "chackskip" and "pretty spray" (perfume). I love how you call me "Momma" and give me kisses when I am sad. You are my little princess and I LOVE YOU!

Summer Fun :)

I have been very scarce wth my posts this summer. Sorry to all who actually want to know what's going on! These are a few pictures from our last little summer "hurrah" at Seven Peaks before I started teaching again. My two cute babies!

What a stud!

Tycee would LIVE at the pool if I let her-she loves it!

Chillin' on the towels

I just loved this picture of Kallin- he was being so cute sitting in the car seat.

Funny Times

So this last week, Jairus reminded me of a funny story I never posted on the blog-and it's a good one. So here it is:

About a month ago, Jairus and I were waiting after church to meet with the bishop. We have 9 am church, so Tycee is always ready to go home and have a nap. Well, we had to wait for a long time... probably over an hour. And Tycee was going NUTS! She was so tired and bored from waiting in the hall for over an hour. Well, as Jairus and I were passing Kallin back and forth trying to keep him entertained as well, Tycee had been playing near the door. All of a sudden, an incredibly loud siren began going off all throughout the church. I looked around in panic, and saw Tycee standing below the red fire alarm box, her face in guilty horror. I knew right then that she had pulled the fire alarm! People began swinging open classroom doors ALL the way down the hallway, wanting to know if they needed to evacuate the church. Not to mention that it was now 1 pm and another ward was just getting ready to start sacrament meeting! So of course, dozens of people are coming out from the chapel, wondering what is going on.

Meanwhile, Tycee is literally bawling her head off, along with Kallin, as the fire alarm continues to go off for a good 3-4 minutes while half a dozen men are trying to de-activate the alarm. They finally get it turned off, just to realize that the fire department has been alerted because Tycee pulled not one handle, but both handles which activate the fire department. Lovely. So our bishop called them, and luckily they were out on another fire and just stayed there. As this whole thing was going on, I sat in the hall in complete embarrassment trying to melt into the floor while Jairus went outside with Tycee because she was so scared.

I think it's safe to say that Tycee won't be touching another fire alarm for a long time...
